...tastes like nothing. Therefore I am doctoring it with spices to give it something resembling flavor. Lots of cumin, some coriander, fenugreek, garlic cloves, mustard, dried habanero, rosemary and lemon peel. We'll see.
Ah, but see, most olive oil *in* the US isn't produced here. What we
get are the dregs of the olive oil industry from everywhere in
Europe. We have the most lax standards of any Western nation for what
passes for olive oil, so the rest of the world dumps their crap on us.
If you can find olive oil that is produced here, it's probably by a
small company and will be loads better than the mass imported stuff
from Italy.
